Pakistan, Azerbaijan discuss energy cooperation, climate resilience at WUF13
BAKU (May 20, 2026) - Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Malik Dr Musadik Malik on Tuesday met Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov Parviz Shahbazov in Baku and discussed avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy, climate resilience and sustainable development. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum 13 being hosted in Azerbaijan. According to officials, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including regional energy collaboration, climate adaptation measures and opportunities to deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in sustainable urban development and environmental coordination. The two ministers also underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral engagement in climate-responsive development initiatives amid growing global environmental challenges.
