Meeting with Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan

Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to PM on climate change was called on by Ethiopian ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Jemal Beker Abdula, today at her office. Ethiopian ambassador congratulated her on assuming the charge as coordinator to PM on climate change. 

 The both sides discussed climate initiatives, formulating a joint strategy for upcoming COP session, and close collaboration on maintaining the ecosystem & environment. The both sides agreed upon signing of memorandum of understanding on bilateral climate cooperation and transfer of technology. 
Romina Khursheed Alam also extended the invitation for climate minister of Ethiopia to visit Pakistan on the eve of signing of MoU. 

Ethiopian ambassador H.E Jemal Beker lauded the leading role of Romina Khurshid Alam on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and added that Prime Minister of Pakistan has selected the most befitting  person for climate diplomacy. He also apprised the green legacy program of Africa and in this context transfer of knowledge and technology thoroughly discussed. 

The both sides reiterated  to run mutual campaigns for betterment of climate and ecosystem as a collective action is required to save the planet. The both sides agreed on consistent engagements on climate initiatives. 

Romina Khurshid Alam expressed her deepest gratitude to Ethiopian ambassador for visiting her and both sides also exchanged the mementos. The meeting was marked with traditional warmth, trust and understanding.
